A Beginner's Guide to Starting Magnesium Oil
Share
If this is your first bottle, a little guidance goes a long way. Magnesium oil is simple to use, but starting too fast is the most common reason people give up on it before they've given it a real chance.
The gradual-use schedule
We recommend easing in rather than diving straight to a full application:
Days 1 to 3: 2 sprays per foot.
Days 4 to 7: 3 sprays per foot.
Week 2 and on: 4 to 6 sprays per foot, as tolerated.
This isn't overcaution for its own sake. It gives your skin time to adjust to a stronger formula, and it makes the whole experience more comfortable from the start.
About that tingling
A mild tingling sensation on first use is normal, especially on skin that's been recently shaved or is otherwise more sensitive. It typically fades with regular use. If it's more than mild, or doesn't ease up, scale back to fewer sprays and give your skin more time.
Where to apply it
Feet are the easiest place to start: less sensitive skin, and an easy habit to build into an evening routine. From there, many people move on to shoulders, calves, or lower back, wherever the day has left its mark.
Making it stick
Keep the bottle somewhere you'll actually see it. Next to your toothbrush. On the nightstand. Pair it with something you already do every night, so it becomes one more small step in a routine instead of a separate thing to remember.
There's no need to rush the process. A slow start is still a start.
